#bacheLOrette weekend // our girl's trip in miami

My friend's parents are such great hosts, not only when we stay at their home in Wisconsin, but also by allowing us to use their timeshare when we go on girl's trips. They've provided a place to stay in Marco Island, Vegas, and now, Miami. This time we stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club Resort at McAlpin - Ocean Plaza and the accommodations were beyond amazing. Not to mention, it was the perfect location. Here's a guide to how we celebrated three days of bachelorette mayhem in Miami - also known as #bacheLOrette weekend.

Where we stayed:
Hilton Grand Vacations Club Resort at McAlpin  - Ocean Plaza - large suites and amazing customer service.
Hotels nearby:
Delano - really cool architecture and an amazing infinity pool!
Z Ocean Hotel - home of Front Porch Cafe - also has an open air bar in the lobby area.
The Clevelander - has a great pool for partying and people watching.

Where we ate:
Front Porch Café - great for breakfast and great outdoor seating!
Tequila Chicas - we sat outside and danced to awesome music - like the Macarena! They also have a delicious dinner menu - like that slab of meat pictured below!
Naked Taco - great guacamole and lobster tacos!
Finnegan's Way - perfect if you're more into a laid back sports bar scene, or just want to grab a burger and fries!

Where we got coffee:
My sister and I love to find cute local places to get coffee and spend some quality twin time together. But when we can't find a local joint, Starbucks will do, which is what we had to do in Miami. There was literally a Starbucks kiddy corner from our hotel, so that was really convenient. Plus, it was right by the beach, so most mornings we were able to grab our coffee and take a walk on the beach!

Where we sunbathed:
Unfortunately the hotel we stayed at does not have a pool, but the amazing location with the beach right across the street more than made up for that. They also have a rooftop with hot tubs and chairs, which is the perfect place to wind down your night or have coffee in the morning.

Our first full day we decided to go out on a catamaran provided by Tropical Sailing. It was cold and overcast, but despite the unfortunate weather we had a BLAST. I found them on Groupon, and it was so inexpensive, and a ton of fun. Since the weather wasn't great, the other people had cancelled, so it was just the bachelorette party on board, so we got the whole boat to ourselves. The staff was amazing. I highly recommend going out with Tropical Sailing if you're in the area!

Since our hotel doesn't have a pool, we headed over to The Clevelander, which hosts a Splash Saturday party. It was our last day in Miami, so we wanted to go out with a bang, and that we did. The DJ was awesome, even playing DMB as requested by the bride, and it was the most perfect weather for a pool day. Our waiter was amazing, and he took great care of us. A lot of people say that The Clevelander is the perfect place for people watching, and I'm pretty sure we were the people that other people were watching... Nonetheless, we had a great time.

Another bachelorette party down, and I cannot wait to make the trip to Dallas for the wedding. I made so many new friends on this trip and I'm excited to see them again! I always love making memories like these.
