Lately it seems like I've been living in my car, off of Chex Mix and Diet Coke and wearing little to no makeup, yoga pants and a baseball cap. So I'm excited to talk beauty today! It seems like every season I change up my beauty routine, and I love trying new things, so today I'm going to share with you a few of my current favorite products.
I've never used a strobing stick or a highlighter, nor did I really know what it was, but I came across this one from Maybelline when shopping one day and decided to try it out. I had to actually look up on Pinterest how to use it, and it seems like there is no right answer. I just put it on over my foundation around my hairline, above my cheekbones and below my cheekbones and it's the perfect amount of shimmer for when I'm going all out. I've been wanting to try out some eye patches for a while now, so I was excited when I found these ones from Sephora, which are totally inexpensive and work wonders! They have all different kinds from anti-fatigue, anti-aging, nourishing and repairing, and many more. With my routine being totally out of whack from this move, these are perfect to have on hand! I've been using L'Oreal Voluminous mascara since I was a teen - it was what my mom has always used so I caught on, and to this day I believe it is the best drugstore mascara out there. When L'Oreal came out with this primer, I was even more excited, and it did not disappoint! The mascara itself gives the best volume, and adding a primer gives it a little bit more va-va-voom! I randomly came across this Tattoo Brow from Kat Von D on Instagram one day, and I decided to check it out - I'd been struggling for years trying to find the best product for my unruly brows. This stuff came with great reviews and it's similar to using a marker but goes on in hair-like strokes making it look very natural. It's a little pricey for a brow product with a $20 price tag, but I've gotten a lot of use out of one tube, so in my mind it's been worth it. I got this Chubby in the Nude foundation stick as a free product, and it has been my go-to for an on the go foundation. Look in my purse at any given time and you'll see an extra bottle of foundation in there for touch ups, but this is perfect because it's a stick and it's small, and convenient to go from my purse to my pocket when I'm out and about or at work! And I've been using the same drugstore eye shadow for years, but sometimes I like to switch it up, so after using the Urban Decay Naked 2 pallet, I splurged and bought myself another Urban Decay eye shadow in Space Cowboy, and I love the fancy feel I get from the shimmer.
It's my birthday weekend and I'm so excited to get fancy with some of my favorite people after a couple weeks of moving mayhem! Anybody else have any fun plans this weekend? Thanks for reading! XO
