black floral v-neck dress

dress c/o make me chic | sweater, similar here | shoes, almost identical here | sunnies | purse, also love this one

I'm really trying my hardest to wear less black, but that's difficult because.. I love it! I'm happy that for this season, black florals are in, so I can wear black but also get a pop of spring with the floral print. This dress is such a great transition from winter to spring. I chose a more casual look with the sweater and flats, but I love that it can be worn casual, to the office, or you can dress it up by adding a belt and/or some heels!

This dress is lightweight and it has pockets, and at a price tag of under $24, what more could you ask for!? I also love how comfortable it is, and it fits loose, so it'd be perfect to wear out to chow down on Sunday brunch!

Hope you enjoy your week! Thanks for reading! XO

valentine's day look with make me chic

dress c/o (less than $13!) | vest (now on major clearance - less than $30!) | purse, almost identical here | boots

Here I go again - stepping out of my comfort zone and not only going with a color I don't normally wear but styling it in a way that I wouldn't normally go for. When Make Me Chic reached out to me about teaming up, I saw this dress and thought that it'd be a great Valentine's dress. It's is so light and comfy and layering it with this faux fur vest made perfect sense to me. Honestly, this vest is so incredibly soft and cozy that I'd pair it with everything in my closet if I could! And of course I'm trying to take any opportunity I can to wear these OTK boots!

This dress fits right into my New Year's Resolution of trying to have a more budget friendly 2017 by being just under $13 - no one can be mad at that price - not even my husband! Make Me Chic offers a lot of items that are super cute and super affordable, so if you're trying to stretch your budget you should definitely check them out!

Hope you enjoyed this Valentine's Day outfit! Thanks for reading! XO
