Here is look number two with this fabulous mermaid sequin skirt that I am beyond in love with. It's no question that once the temps drop, I go to the dark side - meaning my wardrobe involves some or all black pieces. Which is totally okay with this skirt, because it looks great, and you could totally rock this look for New Year's Eve!

I had to add a pop of color with this green crossbody bag that can also be used as a clutch, and I also love the look of this leather jacket with the sequins. And if I look cold in the picture above, it's because I AM. As you can probably tell, it was snowing when these pictures were taken, but that's all part of the blogging game - you've gotta get pictures in when you can!

winter style // night out

This year I decided to go for a more laid back look for NYE because we weren't really doing anything crazy - we spent the majority of our night at Buffalo Wild Wings on Hollywood Blvd. so the boys could watch football and drink cheap beer. We planned to take it easy so we weren't in rough shape for the Rose Bowl, but I got on that struggle bus and rode it well into the next day - #vacation.

I hope you all had a great Christmas! It was so nice for both my husband and me to travel to see our entire families. With his work schedule, we are not always so lucky. We got a lot of good gifts and made some great memories. Of course, the weekend went by way too fast, and I miss them all already!

NYE is less than a week away, and if you're like me, you still haven't thought much about what you are going to wear. Christmas just takes a lot of my mental energy! Initially I thought we were just going to be staying home in our small town for NYE, but then last minute we decided that we are going to California to attend the Rose Bowl on the 1st. So I quickly need to come up with an outfit that's Los Angeles approved! Good thing I was a little ahead of the game, and had already compiled a few outfits and accessories for the last night out in 2015.
