I posted this look on Instagram stories (@theblondestyleblog) asking people's opinions and most everyone said they loved it, so I decided to go ahead and post. It's not what you'd typically pair with a sequin skirt but I'm trying to live by this motto - what would Carrie Bradshaw do? I definitely think she'd go for a look like this!

This look completes a series of three looks I did with this skirt (see look one here and look two here.) I'm particularly fond of this one because the other two looks were more for the holiday season but this look can be worn any time! As you guys know, I'm all about taking risks in 2017, and this look is definitely a risk!

Here is look number two with this fabulous mermaid sequin skirt that I am beyond in love with. It's no question that once the temps drop, I go to the dark side - meaning my wardrobe involves some or all black pieces. Which is totally okay with this skirt, because it looks great, and you could totally rock this look for New Year's Eve!

I had to add a pop of color with this green crossbody bag that can also be used as a clutch, and I also love the look of this leather jacket with the sequins. And if I look cold in the picture above, it's because I AM. As you can probably tell, it was snowing when these pictures were taken, but that's all part of the blogging game - you've gotta get pictures in when you can!

I went Black Friday shopping with my sister when we found this ah-mazing mermaid sequin skirt at Target and she bought it for our girl's trip to Chicago. After we left, I thought to myself that I HAD to have it for the holiday season. So (thankfully) I found it in my size and decided to do a series of posts of three different looks - this skirt is so versatile, it can be worn with a sweater, pretty much any pop of color, or even a graphic tee. Plus I'm obsessed with mermaid sequins right now!

I love getting glammed up for the holidays, and adding a pop of red and some silver pumps are perfect for this time of year. Now I need to find a holiday party to wear this to! Make sure you check back for two more looks I've styled with this skirt, and as always thanks for reading! XO
