One of my favorite fall colors is this orangy, cognac, saddle color, and I love it combined with black. There's something about the look of a cami in the summertime, and I love this one that is made of sweater material, making it perfect for fall. I bought it in a size up to accomodate my baby bump, but I'll definitely still be able to wear it post bump, possibly with a little tuck in the front, or even tucked into a high-waisted skirt. 

I love these leggings (see this look here and this look here) and took a chance with them for this look, and the band was just thick enough to lay under my baby bump even though they're not maternity. They're from last season but are still available, and I've worn them a lot and they're still in good shape after multiple wears and washes. These booties were my birthday present to myself last year, and they brought them back this year which I'm so excited about because they're so much fun and they go with just about anything. I have a clutch very similar to this one that I bought several years ago, and it's gotten a lot of use and is showing some wear, so I was excited when I found the perfect replacement for it!

This week is a big one for me and the hubs because we close on our new house and will be slowly moving in the next couple weeks. I never in my life thought I'd be moving at 9 months pregnant, but I guess there's never a dull moment for the McClures! Now hopefully baby girl stays put a little longer! Thanks for reading! XO

My favorite time of year! And it appears that this year, fall has come early! It was a very tolerable August in the weather department, and so far September has been beautiful! Usually it is still blazing hot through September, and then anything goes. I just hope it stays in the 60s-70s and doesn't drop any lower any time soon! In Iowa, it could be snowing by mid-October!

This season I'm loving oversized sweaters, sweaters with fun sleeve details, and of course long cardigans, which is basically all I can wear right now with this bump that is STILL growing! I'm hoping winter doesn't arrive right when baby does so I can try to enjoy a sliver of sweater weather in late October/early November. I do have a couple long cardigans that I've been living in (including this one here), especially just lounging around at home with a cute pair of PJs underneath - and I'm sure that will continue once I hit maternity leave!

I'm finally getting around to my birthday post - over a month later. October was a crazy month for me! Now we are 20 days into November and I don't foresee it getting any less crazy with the holidays coming up! It's so hard to believe Thanksgiving is just 4 days away!

I had a great time celebrating my 33rd birthday with one of my bests in town from Dallas and my husband able to get free from work for a day to celebrate. We went to Des Moines and stayed and gambled at Prairie Meadows Casino and Hotel, and took The Big Yellow Bike around downtown Des Moines - if you've never done a pedal tavern before I highly suggest it! We had brunch at the buffet the morning of my birthday (because what's better than a breakfast buffet after a night of drinking?!) and I left the casino with $80 extra in my pocket - I call that a win! Then I finished the weekend off in this amazing floral romper at dinner with the hubs and my mama. Happy October! It's officially my FAVORITE month out of the year! Not only are we officially in the heart of the fall season, it's my birthday in just 16 short days! The weather has definitely taken a turn in the past week or two, getting as low as the 40s-50s at night, so I don't know how much longer I can pull off fall shorts, but these shorts are so cute and they are my favorite fall color for this year, so I just had to share! You can even pair them with some black tights and wear these into the winter season!

These shorts are currently on clearance for less than $20 and come in 3 different colors, which is a total steal because all 3 are perfect for fall. They are a faux suede material and they are SO soft and comfy, and the best part - pockets! This cardigan is a hand-me-down from my best friend (gotta love besties who share closets!) so it's no longer available, but I linked a similar one above. My sister and I are always swapping accessories, so I borrowed a couple things from her closet, like this necklace and this purse, which I also linked above. My closet is full of black tanks - I honestly don't think you can ever have enough. Some may think they all look the same, but to me, they all serve a different purpose, and I can wear this one with just about anything, from work to cocktails. These shoes are old, but a nearly identical pair just came out, which I'm so excited about because I love this style. I'm loving a wine colored lip stain right now, my fave being the Flower Beauty by Drew Barrymore Lip Suede Velvet Lip Chubby in Berry-more, which is only available at Wal-Mart, but I also love Revlon Colorburst. It's no secret that I love a good swing dress, so when I saw this one available on Rent The Runway, I had to go for it. I wore this dress to our first fall wedding, and I got a ton of compliments. It fit a little large, so I added the belt and loved the way it looked. This dress is a gorgeous neutral light grey, so it would look great paired with any color. I went with gold and nude accessories, but I also think silver and black would look nice, or even adding a bright coral or teal accessory.

These heels have gotten a lot of use this year and while this exact pair is no longer available, the same brand came out with a nearly identical pair that I linked above. Since I wore the belt, I decided to keep my jewelry simple, and this love knot bracelet is perfect for a wedding. This clutch is a repeat offender, but since I got it at the beginning of the summer it's unfortunately no longer available, so I linked something very similar above.

Ok, so I may have jumped the gun on sweater weather. We have had beautiful weather in the 70s lately, then I bust out a new sweater and it gets up to 90+ degrees! The hubs and I decided to go down to KC for a little brunch and needless to say I did not wear the sweater or the booties, but hey, it's good to plan ahead for colder temps, right? 

An oversized sweater, skinny jeans and booties are my go-to for fall. It's the coziest combo, and it looks good too! These circle hem sweaters that are popping up for fall are so comfy and cute and even though I already own 3 colors, I will probably be adding more to my closet.
