To wrap up my holiday gift guides, (see what I did there?) here's one for the guys! I don't know about the man in your life, but my hubby is pretty easy to please. He's usually in need of a new pair of shoes or jeans this time of year, and sometimes I like to throw in a nice sweater or button up top to mix things up. When he's not wearing a tie for work, he lives in items like this North Face pullover or these plain tees from J.Crew. And of course I threw in a few good stocking stuffer ideas, like these socks, this watch, or these sunnies!

I have to admit - I have not even started my Christmas shopping yet. Things have been so hectic since I started working full time and honestly, I don't even know if we will be able to see most of our family for Christmas this year with it falling on a weekend. In case you're wondering what's on my Christmas list, look no further. This is pretty much it! As you can see I'm loving accessories this year which make great stocking stuffers, and also I'm all about being super cozy like with these slippers or this robe! This time of year always makes me want to curl up in my pajams by the fireplace and watch Christmas movies all day... Then occasionally get glammed up with items like this ring, this clutch, or these OTK boots - perfect for holiday parties!

There is just something about this time of year that gets me so excited to spend time with friends and family. This year I'm extra excited because one of my bests is flying into Chicago from Dallas the weekend before Christmas, and we are meeting her there for a girl's trip. Usually, if we are in the same place, we try to get together for Friendsmas and do a gift exchange. Happy first day of winter! Although it doesn't feel like it. Today it got up to 50 degrees here in Missouri. It's hard to believe Christmas is just 3 days away! To put me in the Christmas mood, I've had Mariah Carey's Christmas on repeat and I baked cookies and wrapped presents - and by wrap I mean stuffed into bags because I am terrible at wrapping. I also went to my husband's store to help kids decorate cookies to leave for Santa. It's so cute seeing what they come up with!

I love a reason to wear a good dress, and seriously, I could have lived in this one. It was so comfortable! I usually tend to stay away from red, but for a holiday look it just felt right. Perfect for a holiday party!

Stockings are usually the last thing we get on Christmas morning, and they're usually chock-full of some small goodies and tons of candy. We have had the same stockings at my mom's house that she made for us when we were kids. They're old and kind of falling apart, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It brings back great memories to see those same stockings, that my mom hand-made, every year. There is less that 2 weeks until Christmas, but some people still have some shopping to do. It doesn't seem like that long ago that I was talking about how to host a successful Friendsgiving. Isn't it crazy how fast this holiday season is going? Christmas is just over 2 weeks away, and many of us have a lot of parties to attend, and some may even be hosting! I feel like Friendsmas is made best by these four things: music, food, drink, and of course, your outfit. 'Tis the season for giving! I love giving gifts, but sometimes it can be really hard to shop for other people, especially if they don't give you any ideas (ahem, husband, if you are reading this...) Usually the hubs and I don't exchange gifts, instead we spend the money on a trip or something for both of us, but almost every year he ends of getting me something anyway. So this year I have a few ideas in my back pocket in case

This time of year is always super exciting for me because it means that I get to dress up for multiple events. Work parties, cocktail parties, Friendsmas, Christmas Eve, (on Christmas I personally would like to stay in my PJs all day) and of course, New Year's Eve. Sequins have become quite popular, and the holiday season is the best time to wear them. This Milly tank top is PERFECT for holiday parties, or even just to go out and have martinis with your bests! It's SO comfortable, and pairs perfectly with black skinnies (and would be so cute with these faux leather leggings!) and strappy heels! And top it off with a leather jacket if it's a bit chilly!

I've been seriously craving a white winter coat this year, and the styles that I have seen out and about do not disappoint. Plus there are amazing sales going on what seems like EVERYWHERE. We didn't only have Black Friday this year, it's been more like Black Wednesday-Sunday, followed up by Cyber Monday. NOT MAD AT IT. I absolutely love this time of year. When summer turns into fall and all the cute clothes and accessories that come along with it. Usually around this time, my sister and mom and I take a trip to the Amana Colonies in Amana, Iowa. They have a couple restaurants with delicious food, and the most adorable little shops with all sorts of clothing and wine and cheese and amazing Christmas decorations. This year we got an early snowfall, so it didn't feel as fall-y as normal, but there are still bright yellow and orange leaves on the trees - kind of strange. But it was still fun nonetheless. Happy November! I cannot believe October is over and the holidays are almost upon us. I have so much to look forward to in the coming months; my best friend is driving up from Dallas to stay with me, I'm heading back to Iowa to spend a lot of time with my family, my sister and I are going to take our annual Christmas trip to Chicago and we are also going to have all of our friends in town for our Friendsmas party. This time of year makes me so happy, so I figure this is a good time to share with you all a new series of blog posts I like to call First of the Month Faves. Here's the November edition!
